Welcome to the Gift of Pain homepage. This page is devoted to helping families who are affected by Congenital Insensitivity to Pain. We have a forum set up and are working on adding medical articles as well as links. If you have questions, you can email us. A Gift of Pain Incorporated is an internet support group for people affected by Congenital Insensitivity to Pain (CIPA) and their families. Please take a moment to read our mission statement. We are very excited to announce that Melody Gilbert's documetary, "A Life Without Pain" will be featured on the Sundance Channel starting in February of 2006. Tonight, October 10th, 2006, Congenital Insensitivity to Pain was featured on the hit television show "Grey's Anatomy". In the show, a young girl named Megan claimed she had "super-powers" since she could feel no pain. After some testing the doctors determined that she was suffering from Congenital Insensitivity to Pain. We thought it was kind of neat that it got a mention on the show. |
